The export of primary timber products accounts for a total export value of 2,042 million US Dollars in 2018. (ITTO 2019) and that has made Indonesia one of the largest exporters of tropical timber products (indonesian forestry sector 2020)

Many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of woodworking in Indonesia still struggle to produce and promote their products internationally. Even though there is no doubt about the ability of Indonesian craftsmen, especially for wood. They are very skilful, producing high quality wood products.
